TGS 2017: Dragon Ball FighterZ Teases Story Mode & New Characters

Over at Tokyo Game Show, the company officially unveiled Tien and Yamcha as the next additions, alongside a new original character, Android #21.

All the characters in the game are supervised by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama himself, and the game’s story mode is also backed up by an original Dragon Ball story. While details are still scarce, the developers are hoping to have a branching storyline with multiple scenarios and outcomes, which will definitely satisfy the fans of the many “What Ifs” moments the franchise has spawned.

A fighting game relies heavily on its balancing, and Dragon Ball FighterZ will be hoping to achieve that by making sure each character has a fixed set of moves. This way, everyone will have to learn, adapt, and rely on their own skill and timing to beat the different opponents.

However, you do get to change the look of your characters though, albeit just the colours of their garb.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be releasing in February 2018, so we have plenty more reveals to look forward to, and if you are a fan, this is shaping up to be quite an original Dragon Ball game.
