The end of the year is nigh and if you are a tabletop gaming enthusiast (or looking to get into the hobby), then there is one more event you have to add to your calendar before the close of the year!
Seeing as how the crowds turned up for GameStart’s TableTop section, there has to be even more Singaporeans out there who would love to spend a good afternoon rolling dice in the heartlands. Thankfully, we have It’s Time to Play to help us round things up.
Buoyed by the resounding success of the same event last year, Boardgamers of Cheng San would like to welcome everyone down for a full 8 hours of tabletop goodness on November 19.
While boardgaming generally can be a relatively low stress affair, the event will also see Sushi Go!, Carcassonne, and King of Tokyo played competitively. These are relatively short games that should give anyone looking to get into the hobby the breadth of game mechanics found in this realm. This is on top of other open gaming sessions where you can try your hand at other titles as well.
Tapping into the community, there will also be a Hearthstone Fireside Gathering that will garner you a Nemsy Necrofizzle Warlock hero skin! Blizzard recognises the value of offline face-to-face interactions amongst the community and it’s interesting to see how offline and online gaming can nicely coexist with each other in the same space.
We cannot think of a better way to fill out Sunday as the Boardgamers of Cheng San would like to help increase Singapore’s happiness rating one turn at a time on a tabletop or two! See you there!
Akaisamurai is a cash-starved ronin of the nerd hobby whose moral inspirations are in order of Superman, Captain America and All Might. He also frequently finds himself playing boardgames, wargames, painting miniatures, reading about History and Philosophy and making Youtube videos on all of the above. Also, he has made it known that he is currently looking for 6 other samurai to defend a small village in rural Japan from Bandits.
