Here’s another fine example of geeky parenting done right. This dad takes the cake by making an Optimus Prime cake for his son’s 6th birthday, that actually transforms at a push of a lever, from truck to robot mode! Complete with Peter Cullen’s voice, speaking the words: “At the end of this day, one shall stand, one shall fall.”
I just hope the kids of this generation will recognize the Generation 1 Optimus Prime from the 80s though, which in my opinion, is the most iconic one. Then again, hearing the voice followed by the transformation would throw any kid into a frenzy. What a lucky kid!
On the topic of geeky cakes, I ordered a customized 3D cake of a Millennium Falcon over a year ago from the good folks at Celebrate with Cake, which came with LEDs. It not only looked great, but tasted good too. I will be ordering from them again this year, and this time, it will be a fully sculpted R2-D2 with LEDs. Perhaps after seeing this, I should request for a rotating dome. It would definitely be a head-turner (literally)!
