Short and sweet, that’s how we characterised Bethesda and its BethesdaLand of reveals and announcements.

This conference is a masterclass in getting your message across in an era where attention spans are rapidly falling.

At a mere 40 minutes or so, they definitely delivered their message without fluff and filler to this author’s delight. Ready for all the news? Here we go…

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus

Ah, the awesome shooter that was Wolfenstein now has a proper sequel. First teased at last year’s E3, The New Colossus will be available October 27 and sees the return of B.J. Blazkowicz, who survived the first game. Now, it is your mission to start a revolution against the Nazi regime. Crazy and over-the-top shenanigans await.

The Evil Within 2

Following the success of the first The Evil Within, Tango Gameworks’ sequel will hit October 13, Friday the 13th to be exact. Terrifying, atmospheric, and utterly gorgeous, we cannot wait to shudder in fear again.

Doom/Fallout 4 VR

VR has been the buzzword of 2016, and now Bethesda is embracing it even more with Doom and Fallout 4. Doom VFR appears not to be the entire game in VR, but rather set in the world and having a series of interactions like puzzles, exploration, and demons blasting.

Fallout 4, however, is the real deal. Coming out in October for the HTC Vive, we will soon be able to explore the wasteland in full immersion.

Skyrim for Switch

Skyrim is coming to the home of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and the Switch version of this popular RPG will include special LoZ items! Fancy wielding the Master Sword, Hylian Shield, and the Champion’s Tunic? Just use a compatible amiibo like Archer Link and off you go. Skyrim will arrive on the Switch this Fall.

Creation Club

Love creating mods and additional content for Bethesda’s library of games? The Creation Club is where you need to be. With a paid model, expect quality and equally trashy mods that run the gamut.

Quake Champions

Besides announcing the first world championships for Quake Champions (August 26) that will have a $1 million prize pool, Bethesda also showcased more of what’s to come for their new shooter. Three new maps, new weapons, and even Wolfenstein’s B.J. Blazkowicz joining Quake.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider

A standalone story touted to be the best entry point for those new to the stealth action franchise from Arkane Studios, it will release this September 15. Starring a new playable character, Billie Lurk (familiar to veterans of the first two games), embark on a journey to end the enigmatic Outsider with the help of Daud, the Empress’ assassin.

Elder Scrolls Online

The MMORPG set in the world of Elder Scrolls will have two new DLC packs coming this year, starting with Horns of the Reach in August followed by Clockwork City. Two new dungeons – Falkreath Hold and Bloodroot Forge – together with new items, achievements, and much more lie in wait for adventurers.

Elder Scrolls Legends

More content to come to the trading card game from Bethesda, more specifically, Skyrim-related content. Check out how you can do battle with your favourite Legends cards, now augmented by Skyrim.

A perfectly succinct and concise conference, Bethesda sertainly pulled no punches with most of their upcoming content coming in 2017. E3 is off to a great start, and we are so glad to be part of it. Any of the announcements got you excited? Let us know in the comments below!
